Vertical form-fill-seal machines for granules, powders and snacks
Film goes in flat, bags come out filled and sealed. The engineering is in the dosing interface and the seal integrity, not in the cabinet.
The dosing head decides the machine's real output
A vertical form-fill-seal machine is often quoted by bag speed, but the number that matters on your floor is how many accurate bags per minute the dosing system can actually deliver. The film former and sealing jaws are the visible part; the dosing head sets the ceiling.
Three dosing approaches are available on the same frame. A servo auger suits fine powders and gives volumetric consistency for a single product. Volumetric cups are fast and simple for free-flowing granules with stable bulk density. A multi-head weigher, mounted above the machine, gives the best weight accuracy for irregular pieces such as frozen food or nuts, and pays for itself when giveaway is measured in grams per bag at volume.
Bag style is a matter of the forming shoulder and the sealing configuration: pillow, gusseted, block-bottom or quad seal. Dust-generating powders get a sealed jaw profile and a dust extraction port to keep the seal zone clean.
Typical configuration shown. Final specification is confirmed against your product, pack format and output target before the order is locked.
Key features
- Servo film pull with registration
Photocell registration keeps the print position consistent through acceleration and deceleration.
- Interchangeable forming shoulder
Switch bag style — pillow, gusset, quad seal — with a documented changeover procedure.
- Dust-tight jaw profile
Serrated or flat sealing with extraction port for fine powders.
- Dosing-agnostic interface
Auger, volumetric cup or multi-head weigher mounted and interfaced to the same PLC.
- Bag deflation / vibration
Compacts product inside the bag so pack height stays consistent for cartoning.
